VIRTUAL GERMAN TRAVEL EXPERIENCES 2020
In the current climate of armchair travel, the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) would like to inspire travellers to go on a journey of the mind. Featuring all 16 federal regions over the next few weeks, the GNTO introduced a number of newly launched microsites, which bring regional lifestyle to all homes of travellers to dream about their next German getaway. On your marks, get set, go - first stops are Bavaria, Stuttgart, Saxony and Berlin!
Bavaria Home Delivery
If you cannot go to Bavaria, Bavaria can come to you with the newly launched “Bavarian Home Delivery” website. BayTM has launched a new microsite offering videos that inspire travel to Bavaria, introducing Bavarian customs, craftsmanship as well as food and drink. You can learn more about local characters, such as Lederhosen tattoo artist Michael Thalhammer or artisan baker Arndt Erbel. There is also a section about Bavarian music, for example, an introduction to Loisach Marci – a Bavarian duo combining the sound of traditional Bavarian instruments with Electro beats.

The clips are 15 minutes long and range from hot spots to foodie tours – check them out on the website or YouTube (new tours added every Tuesday and Thursday).
Dream yourself to Saxony
Saxony launched a new microsite "Traeum dich nach Sachsen." The site allows armchair travellers to visit Saxony’s excellent cultural treasures, to learn about its stunning traditional crafts and to experience its magnificent castles, gardens and landscapes. Perfect for dreaming of your next holiday!
