DORSETT KUALA LUMPUR GOES GREEN; ENHANCES GUESTS' EXPERIENCE
As an eco-friendly hotel, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur has launched the Dorsett EcoValue+ Initiative since June 2019. It is a go-green brand initiative for travellers with minimum two nights stay to opt out of full housekeeping service. Guests who participate get rewarded a canister of the hotel’s signature Gluten Free No Sugar Added Chocolate Chip Cookie. The hotel believes in go-green practices to save the earth and benefit the environment for ecological sustainability. Daily essentials such as bathroom amenities, towels and water will still be replenished.
On the other hand, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur has implemented a ‘Say No to Plastic’ campaign by replacing plastic bottles with eco-friendly glass bottles. This is to help eliminate waste and carbon footprints from the manufacture, transportation and disposal of conventional plastic bottles, which is the eco-friendly proposition of Dorsett Ecovalue+. On average, the hotel has managed to prevent the usage of 2,000 plastic bottles per month.
To offer guests a remarkable stay experience, the hotel is providing guests vacuum pack services as one of the brand’s global initiatives – Dorsett Compack. Guests who return from a fruitful shopping spree seeking for extra packing space need not worry. The vacuum pack is available at the reception for RM10 nett per unit with packing assistance from the housekeeping or concierge staffs. On top of that, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur also offers personalised hospitality with tender loving care – Dorsett TLC, which includes a Jetlag Pack for travellers from long flights. The package consists of an eye mask to drift off easily, a pair of ear plugs for quality deep sleep and two sachets of Chamomile tea to unwind and relax. A welcome gift pack with complimentary snacks and beverages is also catered for long stay guests.
