Escape reality with the Lego VR roller coaster

Legoland Malaysia Resort unveils the world’s first Lego VR roller coaster

Who wants to race against Lego characters such as Trendsetter, Pharaoh, Surfer Girl, Wizard and Pirate Captain in a virtual world made entirely from LEGO bricks?

Legoland Malaysia Resort recently welcomed The Great LEGO Race, a virtual reality (VR) roller coaster that is set to take visitors’ ride experience to a whole new level. VR theme parks are popping up everywhere around the world and Malaysians can now experience what it is like to embark on a multi-sensory experience that combines roller coaster thrills with immersive storytelling technology.

Garnering inspiration from our childhood fantasies, The Great LEGO Race allows riders to enter an imaginary world made entirely from LEGO bricks that also features a host of themes and fun characters.

After donning VR headsets, riders can immerse in a different world where they are racers going up against other fun characters in an exciting race through the LEGO world. All visitors aged six and above can take a ride on the attraction with or without the VR headset.

During the race, riders are greeted with a colourful

entrance portal that beckons them to take on a racing challenge. Beyond the TV

screens showcasing the fun awaiting them, riders will also be treated to a

lively display featuring their competitor’s pit crew who are eager to race them

to the finish line.

Creating an experience like no other in the

theme park, the attraction incorporates innovative technology that allows the

roller coaster’s twists, turns, drops and climbs to be complemented by the

virtual visuals on the screen.

The Great LEGO Race ride at Legoland Malaysia Resort is now available to the public. It will also be launched in Legoland Florida Resort and Legoland Deutschland Resort in 2018.
